Deadline for survey on affected private sector establishments extended

COLOMBO (News1st): The deadline to respond to an online survey to identify private establishments affected due to COVID-19 has been extended until May 15, the labour department said. The previous deadline for the survey which was launched last week, lapsed on Sunday. Private sector employees have been requested to fill out the forms which are accessible on the link: abourllabour to provide information on affected companies. The coronavirus has impacted both the state and private sectors and has prompted employers to take drastic measures such as imposing pay cuts and slashing allowances.
