COLOMBO (News1st): The work from home period declared for both the Public and Private sectors was extended to the 20th of April, which is a Monday.
The second term for all schools will commence on the 11th of May.
A statement from the President's Media Division said the curfew declared for high risk districts - Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Puttlam, Jaffna and Kandy - will be in effect until further notice.
Curfew for the other 19 districts will be relaxed at 06AM on Thursday the 16th and will be re-imposed at 04PM the same day.
The Government requests the general public to limit their purchases to essentials only and urged to act with a sense of understanding and responsibility on inconveniences which may occur during the time of the curfew.
The statement stressed, the areas classified as isolated areas will remain isolated until further notice.
