COLOMBO (News1st) : The World Health Organisation's representative to Sri Lanka has called on the public to preserve surgical masks for healthcare workers.
"...due to the global shortage we should prioritize healthcare workers," Dr. Razi Pendse said during an interview on News1st's Newsline programme.
Dr. Pendse added that people who wear masks should continue to practice health etiquette and social distancing.
"Masks are for the protection of others," the WHO representative noted.
