Only pharmaceuticals and fuel to be imported

The Cabinet of Ministers decided to prohibit or restrict the importation of non-essential goods and services. Joint Cabinet Spokesperson Ramesh Pathirana speaking at today's (02) press conference said priority will only be given for importing pharmaceuticals and fuel. He said the objective is to further strengthen local industries and foster upcoming local products.
