FINAL RITES OF THE 2ND COVID-19 VICTIM OBSERVED

The final rites of the 2nd patient who passed away after being infected with COVID-19 were observed last night at the Negombo Public Cemetery. This was done as per quarantine regulations. Last evening a 65 year old from Kochchikade succumbed to the virus at the Negombo Hospital. The Hospital Director Dr Sujeeva Ratnayaka said an entire ward at the Hospital has been closed since death of the patient and over 20 staffers have been moved to quarantine.
