Italy reports a record number of 475 COVID-19 deaths, in 24 hours

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Italy reported the biggest rise in the number of Coronavirus deaths on Wednesday (18th) with a number of 475 deaths within a day.

The total number of  confirmed cases in the country is 35,713. After China, Italy is reported to be the worst-affected country in the world. The World Health Organization stated that a majority of more than 200,000 confirmed cases have been reported from Europe and the Western Pacific region.
