PTL Director Granted Bail in 2016 Bond Scam

Colombo (News 1st ) Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today ordered to release on bail Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL )Director Muthuraja Surendran. He was released on two sureties worth 10 million rupees each. The suspect was released as it was unfair for only him to be remanded, when the other warranted suspects in the case are not taken into custody. The suspects have been charged with Criminal Misappropriation of 52 Billion Rupees, in the Central Bank Bond Auction in 2016.
