Private sector asked to comply with Government's Special Holiday

The Labour Department requested the private sector to comply with the special three-day holiday declared by the government following growing concerns on COVID-19. Labour Commissioner General, A.J. Wimalaweera said, the government urged the private sector to extend the public holiday, for the private sector as well. Wimalaweera further noted, some institutions are continuing with their daily operations, disregarding the request made by the government.
