DMC announces severe water shortages from the Kegalle district

The Disaster Management Center states a severe shortage of water has been reported from the Kegalle district. Around 9,802 families in the district are affected due to the water shortage caused as a result of dry weather conditions. According to District Secretary of Kegalle, Mahinda S. Weerasuriya, a special program conducted by the Kegalle Disaster Management Centre, jointly with the National Water Supply Board, is currently underway to distribute drinking water for the affected families.
