150 independent groups deposit bonds for the General Election

150 Independent groups have deposited bonds to contest the upcoming general election according to the National Elections Commission. Commissioner General Saman Sri Ratnayake said 08 recognized political parties have submitted their nominations. 08 Independent groups have submitted their nominations as well. Nominations for the General Election commenced on the 12th and are due to end on the 19th at 12 noon.
