Government schools closed from tomorrow till April 20th

Colombo (News 1st) - The Education Ministry has decided to close all the government schools from tomorrow, March 13 to April 20th. Minister of Education Dullas Allahaperuma made the announcement during a media briefing today. The government has decided to bring forward the end of the first school academic term due to the Coronavirus outbreak in the country. Meanwhile, the Catholic Education Office-Colombo initially announced that all Private and International Catholic Schools will be closed from tomorrow till the 26th of March. However following the Education Ministry's decision the office has also decided to keep schools closed till the 20th of April.
