One dead in Sigiriya elephant attack

Colombo (News 1st)- One person died in an attack by a wild elephant in Digampathaha, Sigiriya. The police stated that the incident occurred when the victim and his child were returning home from a market in the area. The 36-year old victim was an area resident. The police further noted that the body of the victim has been placed at the Dambulla Hospital. The 2-year old child has been admitted to the Kandy Teaching Hospital.
