COLOMBO (News 1st):- The Department of Meteorology states that an intense heat condition could be experienced in most areas of the North-Eastern, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern province, and the Mannar and Monaragala districts.

The Department states that the residents living in these areas should take extra caution. The department urges the general public to remain in shady places and drink ample amounts of water.

The heat condition is also expected to continue in the forthcoming days.
