Cabinet reduces initial payment for new water connections

Colombo (News 1st) - The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to reduce the initial payment required to obtain a new water supply connection from the National Water Supply and Drainage Board to Rs 2,500. The initial payment earlier stood at Rs 8,000. Joint Cabinet Spokesperson, Minister Bandula Gunawardena made the announcement, at the cabinet press briefing held today.
