Colombo (News 1st) – The Metorology department notes that the temperature felt on human body is expected to increase up to ‘Extreme Caution’ level across North-Western, Western, Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces, Mannar and Monaragala Districts.
The MET department notes that “Extreme caution” level ranges from 32 degrees to 41 degrees.
The MET department advises a possibility of heat cramps and heat exhaustion and to prevent heat strokes,to stay hydrated and take breaks in the shade as often as possible, to check up on the elderly and the sick, never leave children unattended, limit strenuous outdoor activities and wear lightweight and white or light colored clothing
