Arrest warrant issued for former Kolonnawa UC Chairman

Colombo (News 1st) - The Colombo High Court issued an arrest warrant on D.P Ravindra Udaya, Former Chairman of Kolonnawa Urban Council, today. The warrant was issued following the Former Chairman who was ordered to appear to provide evidence for the case filed against three defendants including Minister Prasanna Ranatunge over indictments issued for threatening a businessman and obtaining 64 million rupees which was taken up before High Court Judge, Manjula Tilakaratne, failed to appear to provide evidence. As the 13th witness to the case, Ravindra Udaya Shantha, failed to appear in court today, the case was postponed to the 12th of May.
