Colombo (News 1st) - UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake speaking in Parliament today highlighted a report on a Sinhala newspaper which alleged that the speaker had made a statement that the phone recordings submitted by him, contained a lot of explicit language. The MP noted that he got late to arrive in Parliament yesterday, as he was traveling on the prison bus, and that he did not hear such a statement being made by the speaker. MP Ramanayake noted that he is eagerly awaiting for a presidential commission to be appointed to probe his phone recordings, as promised by PM Mahinda Rajapaksa. Ramanayake noted that the people of this country have a right to know about how the public representatives they elect, live their lives. The MP noted that examination of his phone recordings will reveal all this to the public. According to the MP among the recordings he has submitted to parliament are, 2 conversations with Mahinda Rajapaksa, One conversation with former President Maithripala Sirisena, a conversation with Dayasiri Jayasekara, one conversation with Min. Wimal Weerawansa's wife and 2 conversations with the spouse of Min. Mahindananda Aluthgamage
