Large scale ganja farms raided in Ampara

Colombo (News 1st) - Police in Damana have been able to raid 3 marijuana cultivations in the Bakmitiyawa and Timbirigolla areas of Ampara following a 3 day operation. 3 suspects were also arrested during the raids. Following the operation, the officers of the Damana Police destroyed the cultivations by setting them on fire. According to the Police, operations are continuing to apprehend one suspect who escaped during the raids as well as the mastermind behind the operation.
