President appoints National Salaries Commission

COLOMBO (News 1st):- President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a National Salaries Commission in order to provide advice to the government on enacting and formulating a national salaries policy. The President's Media Division states that the National Salaries and Cadre Commission that was subjected to numerous amendments from the 18th of March 2019 will hereby be suspended. The National Salaries Commission headed by Upali Wijeweera has 15 other members. Chandrani Senarathne, Gotabaya Jayarathne, Sujatha Cooray, Madura Wehalla, M. S. D. Ranasiri, Dr. Ananda Hapugoda, High Court Judge Sanjeewa Somarathna, Ajith Nayanakantha, Ravee Liyanage, Sanath Ediriweera, Professor Ranjith Senarathne, Engineer R. M. Amarasekara, Retired Major General Siri Ranaweera and W. H. Piyadasa form the commission.
