Ex Sri Lankan envoy to Russia, Udayanga Weerathunga admitted to Welikada prison hospital

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia, Udayanga Weerathunga who is currently in remand prison has been admitted to the Welikada prison hospital. The Prisons Department says that he was admitted due to an emergency condition. He was previously detained at the Colombo Magazine prison. Udayanga Weerathunga was arrested by the CID early last morning (February 14) at the BIA. After presenting him before the Fort Magistrate, it was ordered that he be remanded till the 17th of February.
