Students quarantined in Diyatalawa sent home

Colombo (News 1st): The Sri Lankan students who were quarantined at the Diyathalawa Army Camp, were sent home this morning (Feb 14). The students were all smiles, as they left to rejoin their families. The Sri Lankans students were at the Diyathalawa Army Camp for a Quarantine Period of 14 days, after arriving from Wuhan, China. Army Spokesperson, Brigadier Chandana Wickremasinghe said, the students met the Army Commander at the Headquarters this evening. Meanwhile, the death toll in China, due to the Coronavirus also known as Covid-19 has risen to 1383. The total number of infections has jumped to 63,922 cases, according to the National Health Commission. Its been 23 days since the epicentre of the virus, the Chinese city of Wuhan has been shut down.
