Colombo (News 1st) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is set to pay homage at Buddhagaya in the Indian State of Bihar today, as his official tour enters it’s 3rd day.
The Prime Minister received blessings at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
During the visit, Prime Minister Rajapaksa held talks with Indian Foreign Minister Subramanian Jayashankar, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Indian President Ramnath Kovind.
The meetings focused on strengthening the long-standing ties between India and Sri Lanka and further strengthening the defense, cultural, political and tourism ties.
Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, who is on a four-day official visit to India at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is due to arrive in Sri Lanka tomorrow.
