Nine people arrested for treasure hunting in Mihinthale

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Nine people have been arrested for treasure hunting from Bogaha-Yaya, Mihinthale. The police said that the suspects aged between 26 and 55 have been identified as residents of Pusselawa, Katugasthota, Mihinthale, Kegalle, and Rambaawa. Equipment used for the excavation has also been seized. Meanwhile, another 5 suspects who were engaging in an illegal gem mining business in the Kalu river were arrested from Ganethannna. The suspects aged between 32 and 52 have been identified as residents of Horana.
