PM Mahinda Rajapaksa to meet Indian PM Modi tomorrow

Colombo (News 1st) - Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa is set to depart for India today to engage in a 4 day officials visit. The Premier is undertaking the visit upon the invitation of Indian PM Narendra Modi. This is incidentally the first official visit that will be undertaken by PM Rajapaksa after assuming the position of PM. The PM's delegation is set to include a number of Ministers including Douglas Devananda and Arumugam Thondaman. PM Rajapaksa is set to meet PM Modi on Saturday (Feb 8) and will also call on President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on the same day. On Sunday he is set to travel to Varanasi. On Monday (Feb 10) PM Rajapaksa will travel to Bodh Gaya and visit the Mahabodhi Viharaya as well before departing for Tirupati. The Prime Minister will return to Sri Lanka on Tuesday (Feb 11).
