Woman arrested with heroin worth Rs. 300,000

Colombo (News 1st): A woman had been arrested with 25 grams of heroin with a street value of Rs. 300,000 in Bulankulama, Anuradhapura. The police said that the woman was arrested in front of the Bulankulama school last night (Feb 4) on information received by the Anuradhapura Police. The suspect is a 42-year-old woman from Nochchiyagama, Anuradhapura. The police said, her husband is currently in custody on charges of heroin trafficking. The arrested woman is due to be produced before the Anuradhapura Magistrate's Court today (Feb 5).
