Colombo (News 1st): An inmate of the Angunakolapelessa Prison died this morning (Feb 5). The deceased was a 38-year-old inmate from Pannagamuwa, Weerawila. The police said that he had fallen from the bed while receiving treatment in the mental health ward of the Angunakolapelessa Prison Hospital.

The body of the deceased has been placed at the Angunakolapelessa Divisional Hospital. The Magisterial inquiry was conducted by Angunakolapelessa Magistrate Darshika Premaratne this morning. The body is to be taken to the Tangalle Base Hospital for post mortem examination.
