Bars to remain closed on Independence day

Colombo (News 1st) - The Excise Department of Sri Lanka notes that all liquor shops in the island will remain closed tomorrow in line with the 72nd Independence Day celebration. Deputy Commissioner Kapila Kumarasinghe noted that strict legal action will be taken against vendors who violate these regulations. Kumarasinghe also urged the general public to inform them of illicit liquor vendors through the 1913 hotline.
