Mahinda Rajapaksa will contest from Kurunegala - G.L. Peiris

Colombo (News 1st) - Chairman of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) Prof. Professor G.L. Peiris states that Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa will contest for the upcoming general election from the Kurunegala District. Peiris made this statement responding to questions posed by journalists during a media briefing in Colombo today. The SLPP Chairman rejected rumors on social media, which state that Mahinda Rajapaksa would contest from a different district, and stated that Mahinda Rajapaksa would not desert the people of the Kurunegala district that elected him in 2015.
