Lotus road reopened following protest

Colombo (News 1st) - The entry road to Galle Face which was temporarily closed earlier near the Lotus Roundabout due to a protest is now open. The road was closed earlier this morning after a group of individuals who had lost their jobs at the National Housing Development Authority staged a protest march towards the Presidential Secretariat. Our reporter stated that a few protestors were allowed to discuss the matter at the Presidential Secretariat while the others continued their protest by blocking the road near the Lotus Roundabout.
