"Although Gotabaya is President, he has no power over the parliament" : Former President

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Speaking at a public meeting held in Polonnaruwa, former President Maithripala Sirisena says that they signed an agreement with the current president Gotabaya Rajapaksa in the month of October and that was because of the support given to him by the SLFP that he achieved a great victory. He further said that there is now an agreement that says that they can win the parliamentary election and form a government together. The former President claims that the same incidents that happened to him in 2015 are now happening to Gotabaya Rajapaksa. He adds that as of today even though President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is president, he has no power over the Parliament.
