Colombo (News 1st): While audio recordings are extensively discussed in parliament, people living in Padaviya are facing numerous difficulties, as top positions of several state institutions are yet to be filled. Padaviya Pradeshiya Sabha member of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party staged a protest atop the Pradeshiya Sabha building. The Pradeshiya Sabha member staged the protest claiming that positions of Secretary, Assistant Secretary, and Accountant have not been filled. He also charged that the position of the OIC in the area is left vacant. PS member Sumith Kobbekaduwa said;
"These are the main three positions of the Pradeshiya Sabha. The final output of all the activities that take place at the Pradeshiya Sabha should be approved with the signature of the Secretary. Those who work there and people who require assistance are inconvenienced by this. Because there is no one to be responsible. The Secretary from Kebithigollewa visits this Pradeshiya Sabha 2 days a week to cover the entire workload."
