INS Airavat arrives at the port of Colombo

Colombo (News 1st): Indian Naval Ship (INS) Airavat arrived at the port of Colombo yesterday (Jan 20) and was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in compliance with naval traditions. The Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander Sunil Sankar and a group of Indian officers met the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sumith Weerasinghe at the Western Naval Command Headquarters. They held a cordial discussion on several matters of bilateral importance. Mementos were also exchanged to mark the significance of this occasion. During their stay in the country, the crew of the ship is expected to take part in several programs. INS Airavat is scheduled to leave the island on 22nd January. Source| navy.lk
