President assures to recruit job-seeking graduates immediately

COLOMBO (News 1st):- President Gotabaya Rajapaksa says that all job-seeking graduates will be recruited immediately for government jobs based on the subjects they have studied in order to pave the way for them to contribute directly to the national economy. He made this observation during a meeting with a group of graduates who represent unemployed graduates at the presidential secretariat this morning (January 19). The President's media division said information on vacancies available in government, semi-government and departments were collected and graduates will be recruited soon to fill them. These recruits will then be provided with formal training and knowledge on leadership and public service. The President has pointed out that creating a public service and a public servant, responsible to the people, is his main objective. He also claims that the public sector has come under criticism due to the misconduct of a few and that the state service receives disrepute due to the mishaps that take place. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa added that it is the duty of the public servant to do justice to the people who pay their salaries with an efficient and proper public service.
