"RW has put 5.5 million lives in danger by making deals with MR" - Chairman of the Restaurant Owners' Association, Asela Sampath

COLOMBO (News 1st):- Civil societies charge that the government is carrying out a conspiracy to weaken the opposition with the support of some parties. Chairman of the Restaurant Owners' Association, Asela Sampath says;

"The supremacy of the parliament was destroyed by Ranil Wickremesinghe. He helped to rob the Central Bank, helped them run away to Singapore. A strong opposition has been built. In this opposition, a group including Ranil Wickremesinghe, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, Wajira Abeywardena, and Sagala Rathnayaka are on a mission to sabotage this."

He continued to say;

"A good example is that the party leaders meeting which was held the day before yesterday where Wajira Abewardena had called Mahinda Rajapaksa. The phone conversation is circulating on social media. The country is facing a situation where they are compelled to even steal vegetables. There is a massive economic crisis. You are the one who engaged in deal politics. You have put 5.5 million lives in danger by making deals with Mahinda Rajapaksa."
