COLOMBO (News 1st):- A group of students of the Peradeniya University staged a protest in Kandy today (January 18) distributing leaflets. They also stated that the students of the Faculty of Management have not been provided with adequate facilities. Leaflets were distributed and signatures were also taken to inform the public about the current situation of the faculty. President of the Management Faculty Students Union at the Peradeniya University, Buddhika Senarath said:
"This shortage of professors and the shortage of student enrolment at the Peradeniya University has been in the faculty since 2014 and has been for more than five years. The policy is that when private universities started, the facilities for the government universities are being cut down. We are hoping to discuss this issue and a solution should be brought to this. We would like to tell the government, we will continue to fight until the management faculty is a complete management faculty."
