29 year old arrested with 19 conch shells in Batticoloa

COLOMBO (News 1st):- A 29-year-old has been arrested with a haul of valuable conch shells close to the Kalladi bridge in Batticoloa. 19 conch shells have been seized from the possession of the suspect. Upon inquiry, the suspect had revealed that the haul of conch shells was brought down to the country from India. The arrested suspect is a resident of Kochchikade, Negombo. The value of the conch shells has not yet been estimated. The suspect is due to be produced before the Batticoloa Magistrates Court tomorrow (January 19).
