Chinese scorpion smuggler arrested at the BIA

Colombo (News 1st) - A Chinese national was arrested this afternoon as he attempted to depart the country. The passenger in question who was attempting to return to China had also tried to smuggle 200 live scorpions out of the country. He was stopped at the departure terminal of the BIA by Customs officials who discovered the scorpions concealed in this luggage. The Department of Customs has launched further investigations into the discovery.
