24 hour water cut for Peliyagoda

Colombo (News 1st) - A 24-hour water cut will be in effect for the Peliyagoda and surrounding areas from 8.00am today. Accordingly, the Peliyagoda, Wattala - Mabola Municipal Council areas, the Hendala, Elakanda and Palliyawatta areas under the Kelaniya Pradeshiya Sabha,Maguruwila road, Wijerama Mawatha, K.E Perera Mawatha, Gonawala, Pamunuwila and Batala-hena-Watta areas under the Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha will experience the water cut. This is due to construction work on the second stage of the water project launched on the south bank of the Kelani River.
