3 arrested for stealing jewellery from bus commuters

Colombo (News 1st): Three suspects including two females have been arrested in Balangoda for stealing jewelry from bus commuters. Police said the suspects were arrested when investigating an incident in which a commuter's jewelry had been stolen. The police have found stolen items including 4 gold chains, 2 bracelets, and 6 rings in the suspect's possession. Investigations revealed that the suspects were involved in several other robberies in Badulla, Vavuniya, Ratnapura, and Balangoda. Police added further investigations are underway to nab several other suspects who have connections to the arrested group.
