Mahindananda Aluthgamage is a thief: Ranjan Ramanayake

Colombo (News 1st): Ranjan Ramanayake filed a motion in court regarding the voice recordings seized by the police being made public. Speaking to the media he noted that Mahindananda was a good friend of his in parliament, however, later it was revealed to him (Ranjan) by Mahindananda's brother Ananda Aluthgamage that he is printing counterfeit currency notes. He stressed that Mahindananda is a thief who defrauded his wife Asha Aluthgamage. He said that he possesses those recordings as well. Meanwhile, State Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage today noted that if these conversations with judges and other members of the judiciary continue to come out like this, the faith that the people have in the judiciary of the country will be lost. Therefore, he noted that the President had also said that a separate commission will be appointed to investigate these matters. He said until that they will keep this matter secret. He added that this is very dangerous as these are discussions regarding state officials and high ranking judicial officers.
