Court orders Government Analyst's report on Ranjan's recordings

Colombo (News 1st): Nugegoda Additional Magistrate H.U.K. Pelpola ordered the CDs containing telephone conversation recordings, computers and other material seized from the possession of MP Ranjan Ramanayake to be directed to the Government Analyst. Court ordered a report and copies of the material to be submitted by the Government Analyst to the court. The order was made considering a request made by the Colombo Crimes Division, tasked with investigating the matter. The CCD today informed the court, as the voice tapes are already in circulation across various media and social media platforms, it is paramount to obtain data records on the computer and hardware used to record the telephone conversations, in order to reports definite information to the court.
