15 fishermen arrested by Sri Lankan Navy

Colombo (News 1st) - The Navy has taken into custody 15 individuals for the use of illegal fishing equipment. The Navy made the arrest during routine patrols in the seas off Mullikulama, Mannar. 3 dingy boats and 3 illegal fishing nets were taken into Nqavy custody along with the 15 fishermen. The arrested persons have been identified as residents of Arippu aged between 22 and 45 years of age.
