Travel ban issued against SSP Shani Abeysekera

Colombo (News 1st) - The Nugegoda Magistrate's Court has issued a travel ban on the former Director of the CID SSP Shani Abeysekera. SSP Shani Abeysekera was interdicted on Tuesday (Jan 07).  Police Spokesperson SP Jaliya Senaratne said he was interdicted on the charges of engaging in telephone conversations bringing disrepute to the Police Service. Before he was interdicted, SSP Shani Abeysekara was appointed as the personal assistant of the Galle DIG.
