Stocks recorded the biggest fall since April 21st attacks

Colombo (News 1st): Sri Lankan Stocks today (January 8) recorded the biggest fall since the April 21st attacks in 2019 due to the investor's panic reaction after the face-off between Iran and the United States of America. The ASPI closed 127.25 points down to 5898.84 recordings a drop of 2.11% The S&P index recorded a drop of 58.58 closings at 2799.41 down by 2.05% Today is the 5th consecutive day that the Colombo Stock Exchange recorded losses to a 3 month low. The market turnover at the CSE today was recorded at Rs. 624.44 million. The Exchange rates today were as follows; USD/LKR
