3 arrested in connection to Udawalawa leopard death

Colombo (News 1st) - 3 persons have been arrested in connection to the death of a leopard inside the Udawalawa reserve. According to the Police, the arrested persons are believed to be residents of Sevanagala, Nelumwewa who are around 35 years of age. The suspects are due to be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrate's Court later today. The remains of a leopard was discovered recently in close proximity to the Mau-Ara tank inside the Udawala reserve. Joint search operations launched by the Police STF and Wildlife officers continue to take place inside the reserve.
