CAA requests public to report higher rice prices

Colombo (News 1st): The Consumer Affairs Authority had asked the general public to report any sales of rice higher than the control price. The Chairman of the Authority, Rtd. Major General Shantha Dissanayake stated that reports have emerged of a few vendors resorting to sell rice above the controlled price. They further added that 703 sellers have been taken to task for not adhering to the controlled price.
