COLOMBO(News 1st) – Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa met the Turkish ambassador to Sri Lanka at Temple Trees yesterday(December 23) and discussed the long-standing bilateral relations between the two countries.
Ambassador of Turkey to Sri Lanka, Tunga Osuhader said, Sri Lanka and Turkey are always cooperating and the space for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries should be expanded and increasing tourist arrivals from Turkey to the island will be the next step.
Meanwhile, Chief of the Naval Staff of India, Admiral Karambir Singh, met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday to discuss security between the two countries.
