Rajitha Senaratne files anticipatory bail application

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Former Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne today filed an anticipatory bail application with the Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court seeking to prevent his arrest over a media briefing which took place on white van abductions. The application will be taken up for consideration tomorrow (December 20). Two men who appeared with Senaratne at the media briefing held in the run-up to the Presidential Election have already been taken into custody on allegations of fraud.
