Colombo (News 1st): The Railway Department confirmed that special train services will operate from Colombo to Kandy during the festive season until the 2nd of January.

General Manager of Railways Dilantha Fernando said that the train will depart Colombo Fort at 9.00 am and reach Kandy at 11.30 am and will stop only at Gampaha and Peradeniya.  The luxury train will leave Kandy at 4.55 pm and reach Colombo Fort at 7:30 pm. Another special train will operate from Colombo to Badulla on the 20th, 21st, and 22nd of this month. The department stated that the train will reach Badulla via Peradeniya.
