Locally manufactured cement prices reduced

COLOMBO (News 1st):- State Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Welfare, Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said that the price of a 50kg locally manufactured cement bag has been reduced by Rs. 100. The Minister further said that the decision to reduce the price was taken following the decline in VAT and other taxes. The price reduction will be in effect from next week. Thereby, the price of a locally manufactured bag of cement is now Rs. 995.
